MORE THAN A GREAT DEVELOPMENT FOR WYLDE HOMES
11/28/2006
Established North East construction company Turney Wylde Construction have continued their ongoing expansion into the residential development sector, with acquisition of two prime sites.
One site at East Brunton Farm in Newcastle Great Park will incorporate a conversion of the existing farmhouse and outbuildings together, with several new build homes. The site will be developed by Wylde Homes – the residential development arm of the business.
In addition, a further site has also recently been acquired – a former public house in the centre of Beadnell, Northumberland. This site is to be developed into 12, three-bedroom homes and will be known as Smugglers Cove.
Leading North East law firm Ward Hadaway has acted on behalf of Turney Wylde with regards to acquisition of both sites, in addition to advising on various planning issues that have arisen during the process.
The development at Newcastle Great Park, containing 11 dwellings of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses, demonstrates the increasing amount of residential development work being undertaken by Turney Wylde in the past couple of years.
David Wylde, Managing Director of Turney Wylde, said, “We are excited to be driving these new developments within Newcastle Great Park and Northumberland. They reinforce our aim to provide select, private developments to the discerning buyer, who is looking for something a little different. Ward Hadaway’s work as our legal advisors has been essential in facilitating both transactions successfully. ”
Associate, Doug Irvine, from Ward Hadaway’s Property Department, completed the legal work for the acquisition of the site, with assistance on planning issues from Scott Munro, Associate and Chartered Town Planner in the firm’s Planning Team.
Doug added, “The team at Ward Hadaway have been excited to work with Turney Wylde on this acquisition. Our range of property and planning expertise has ensured that all legal aspects have been covered and we look forward to continuing our good working relationship with Turney Wylde and Wylde Homes in the future”
